Coalition for Regional Transit
Be an advocate for transit
Currently more than 5,000 metro area residents in Kansas and Missouri have registered for the Coalition for Regional Transit to lend their support for regional transit.
During the last legislative session, coalition advocates were critical in passing enabling legislation for regional transit funding in Missouri, which gives voters the ability to invest in a regional public transit system. The next step is to make sure the Kansas legislature passes enabling legislation to complement the bill passed in Missouri. After legislation is in place in both states, residents in the nine affected Kansas City area counties will vote on whether to fund regional transit.
As you can see, our work is far from done. Making Smart Moves a reality requires grass roots support on both sides of the state line. You can help by becoming a transit advocate and taking action to support regional transit!
