April 4, 2008

Take some time to check out the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority's redesigned Web site. The new layout and design is more colorful and appealing, and the navigation capabilities have been enhanced. Important features on the redesigned site include:

  • A "New Rider Info" page with tips for first-time and novice bus riders
  • Access to Metro schedules and maps from any page
  • A new "Rider Guide" link with more subdirectories of Metro service and programs
  • An improved general site search, along with searchable jobs database, procurement and business opportunities, and archives of passenger information and KCATA news
  • Passenger information with RSS for automated notification
  • Updated online store features easier steps to purchasing passes
  • The latest information on light rail and the planned Troost MAX service
  • A "Calculate the True Cost of Driving" feature

For more information about the redesigned site, contact Anita L. Cobbins, KCATA Marketing Manager, at 816-346-0315.
